For me, Autism is a positive experience, but this Flash blog alert is for everyone who needs to feel that too.
Remember this from all those Autistic people as a whole feeling unwanted, insecure, or unaccepted:
Des’ree “You Gotta Be” song,
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
Being Positive about being on the Autistic Spectrum is important, it’s essential for self-esteem, and not allowing anyone to bully us to think we are nothing.
I love being on the Autistic spectrum because I am different than the Neurotypical way of thinking. Thinking differently is okay, but Neurotypicals can be cruel.
That is what this Flash blog is about!
Here is a list of what makes being on the Autistic spectrum wonderful for me:
1) Being non-judgmental
2) Being willing to accept things NT’s find hard to accept
3) Stimming through exhilaration, anxiety, and FUN!!
4) Having my own sense of enjoyment by myself without always needing to be with someone else
5) Deep pressure ***HUGS***
6) Focusing on a TASK that I am wanting to succeed doing!
7) Being able to move forward knowing I have helped myself and others!
8) Being creative and not caring what others think!
9) Just being my own Likable self and a peacemaker (you know it!)
10) Always willing to LEARN new positive things and be who I am!!
Positivity Day is approaching us soon…
Always remember Being Autistic is a different way of being, feeling, and expressing oneself.
It’s time to fit the picture to allow the Autism Acceptance decade to lift all of our spirits and believe in who and what we can do. We need to keep those services going throughout the lifespan to ensure interdependency for every human being especially those Autistic people who seem too dependent at this time. Remember to pay it forward whether you are Autistic or not to an Autistic person of any age who needs that help to follow their dreams to success. There is no reason why the Neurotypical thinking should be the majority all the time, everyone has the their way to live in this world and it’s time to finally see the two way street. As 1 human being walks down the street, another one walks down in the opposite direction…take the initiative to acknowledge them and say “You are a Superstar!” It may be hard at first, but in the end you will find greater success becoming a brighter star.
“I am who I am and that’s all that I am, I am Popeye the Sailor man!” Just remember this and accept. By accepting, you accept your life how it has been to be able to grow and allowing others to grow as well for greater acceptance.
We journey through life to be able to live how we want to live knowing the ethical standards for human beings and the entire biosphere. Never disrespect and hurt, it will just come back to you, two-fold for any one.
Happy Autism Acceptance Decade!!!
Be cool always,
