A Poem Called “Feelings”

Feelings,

by theamazinJ

Are we mad?
Are we crying?
Are we angry?
Madness is real,
Happiness is seriously experienced.
It’s Ok to be crying,
It’s Ok to be angry,
It’s Ok to laugh and enjoy,
Feelings are real,
but how much is too much,
how much feelings can we really express,
feelings hurt, feelings show hurt,
feelings can be happy,
feelings can be funny,
feelings can go too far
feelings can not express that much,
feelings are emotional,
everywhere we go,
everywhere we see things,
we express our emotions through feelings,
Raging feelings from everywhere,
raging these things sometimes extremely,
sometimes not so much,
but, is it Ok to express our feelings as hurt?
Sometimes we scream to be heard,
other times we whisper to conceal,
and many times its hard to speak up clearly
what we want to express from our feelings.
Everywhere we go,
everywhere we think things through,
every time we search for what we feel,
we don’t exactly feel.
The search is over,
feelings are there through emotions,
it’s Ok to express how we feel,
no matter how we feel.
It takes guts,
it takes experience to use them,
and it even allows our feelings to ponder.
Pondering joy,
withering sadness,
perseverating over anger,
being afraid,
it’s all a part of being human.
It’s okay to stay strong,
but being strong is using these feelings
using these as entitlements,
using these as part of privileges,
using these parts of ourselves
like a lion roaring in the country,
because
we experience everything really
we experience almost anything,
and we experience growth when we age,
for as we age,
we experience feelings like an eclipse,
an eclipse that is unpredictable in how we feel about things,
an eclipse that contributes to graphic display,
when it’s so important to feel,
even when we want to explore,
and even when we give love in the dark
to bring in the light,
while we feel,
while we enjoy the bright lights,
finally experiencing the world.
Everywhere we go,
everywhere we stay,
everywhere we live,
we need to curb our feelings
we need to let go and pick our battles,
because in the end,
there are consequences
more so than rewards,
and from those consequences is taking responsibility
remembering to use those feelings kindly
while without warning and without unpredictability,
to give those around you
the feelings you want them to have
to feel good.

A Poem Called “Mourning”

(Trigger Warning: the painful moments may trigger some.)

Mourning,

by theamazinJ

Violence,
hurt,
physical pain,
emotional pain,
murderous draining of blood,
seeping from our veins abstractly,
the pain persists with everyone,
it persists in the community,
it persists in segregated settings,
it persists with disabled people,
it persists with black people,
it persists with jewish people,
it persists with muslims,
it persists with women,
it persists with differences in gender and (a)sexuality,
it persists because of eugenics,
it persists cause of American society today
especially with Donald Trump,
especially with the dark past history of America,
especially with this construction from Francis Galton,
the pain hurts even deeper and darker than that,
from the deepest roots of human history,
many people are in pain,
many people are in mourning
the lack of empathy from the current social construction
of how many individuals in mainstream society don’t understand,
of how many don’t want to understand,
and how we cannot get it right,
we cannot listen to each other,
of how no one has true understanding
unless the person has experienced
or flipped to that side of the coin,
and that only happens when we allow ourselves to experience,
when we just experience it,
and we begin to heal,
heal through humor,
heal through communicating,
heal through love,
heal through laughing amongst each other,
in the community and not in congregate settings separated from the community,
because it’s all about us,
it is all about life,
it’s not about mourning,
it’s not supposed to be a dark life,
it’s supposed to be about seeing the light,
seeing the positive sides of life,
experiencing and loving who we are
so we can experience and love everyone around us,
without causing pain to us or anyone else
regardless of how much pain we already have,
it’s about letting go and moving forward,
It’s Nothing about us, without us,
it’s just about love,
can you go back in time,
to a place in your mind,
to the one you knew you that you just couldn’t find,
when it’s said and done it’s not about losing love,
it’s not about the pain,
it’s about gaining love from everyone we meet,
taking in everything, but not taking too much pain,
the mourning of this day,
heals us when we can laugh instead of cry,
when we can let go and celebrate lives lost,
when we can let go and celebrate our own life,
and when we can just let go and move forward,
Mourning is more about how we laugh until we had to cry
and say to each other,
I love you no matter what,
I love you for who you are or who you were,
people touch, and it lives in our lives forever,
so, let’s move forward
and let’s meet halfway,
made of memories,
believing in destiny,
every moment is about getting living every moment
in the way we stick to each other in the community
regardless of impairments, regardless of what labels society gives us,
and we are stronger when we have given up,
given up on our egos,
given up on our arrogance,
and lived for the humility of humanity,
remembering and always never forgetting,
disability is a major part of human life,
so don’t neglect yourself, don’t neglect others,
and begin to accept the diversity in everything,
the diversity of life, between where we are
where we identify, claiming neurodivergent and claiming disability and even claiming neurotypicality,
finally,
it does not matter what people claim,
it just matters to be happy,
and live knowing
normality is real, but normality is accepting life the way it is,
in the living years
say it loud, say it clear,
so don’t blame the ones before, presently, or after,
just laugh with perfect humor among each other,
no matter what, no matter who,
when nothing about us, without us
really does matter.

A Poem Called “It’s My Life, It’s my Choices”

It’s My Life, It’s my Choices,

by theamazinJ

Choices matter,
choices are personal,
choices make sense,
people may be concerned,
people may not understand,
people feel obligated to personal choices,
a personal choice is a personal choice
and nothing more and nothing less.
Personal choices help growth
whether we like it or not,
personal choices are sedimental,
personal choices are not your choices,
personal choices are the choices of the individual who makes them,
personal choices help with self-care,
personal choices help with setting and maintaining boundaries,
personal choices give everyone their own dignity and pride,
deciding on things on our own and learning
is everyone’s right and everyone’s distinctions
from another individual,
because everyone matters,
because everyone chooses their destiny,
because everyone has their own way of doing things
to decide what they feel is right at the time,
everyone makes mistakes or chooses based on their own feelings.
To be an activist,
one must know what they want,
know what they don’t want,
and fight for everything they do want.
An activist is strong willed,
an activist fights for what they believe in,
an activist uses evidence to base on their beliefs,
an activist is not influenced by others,
an activist learns everyday what works and what doesn’t,
an activist grows with the people they respect
disregarding the people that hurt them,
an activist’s life can be tough
especially when people hate what we say or do,
an activist’s life can be even tougher
when what we say or do is often put down or shut down,
but an activist must stick to their mission,
must stick to their beliefs,
and continue to support evidence for their beliefs
gaining more and more support from others.
An activist makes hard choices.
Sometimes those choices can hurt others,
and sometimes those choices can eventually change the world for the better.
Martin Luther King,Jr made choices as an activist in this manner,
Rosa Parks as part of that too,
Malcolm X made choices in similar fashion,
Ed Roberts the same,
The Black Panthers even more,
Harvey Milk too,
and yes, even Susan B. Anthony and Harriet Tubman as well.
The list goes on and on all throughout history,
finally, its the choices we make that matter to what we believe,
its’ the choices we make that make us who we are,
and it’s the choices we make that allows our activism to succeed or not,
if there is no evidence and support, our activism failed,
however if we continue to push through and learn from what we know about ourselves,
We become part of the greatest activists who ever lived before.
It’s our choices to forgive ourselves and others that matter
to understand and learn from the past,
sometimes the choices we make is everything no matter what.
An activism moves forward without looking back.

A Poem Called “Theory”

Theory,

by theamazinJ

Everything changes,
from theory to reality,
everything disbands with time,
everyone disconnects eventually.
the theory follows us in the stars
the theory says we re-connect over the speed of time,
the speed of light, the speed of sound,
and the speed of our hearts joining together
again and again.
Everything changes
when we know it is time to move on,
when we know it is time to shine,
when we know it is time to rise above the sky,
when we know it is time to see beyond the stars
to see beyond what we already know.
The theory says,
it is time,
and we disconnect
only to move further away
until the time approaches us to
meet halfway through.
The theory says,
once we move closer and closer
to the next approaching star,
the star moves further and further away,
because every star cannot touch or connect
to another unless we are ready and able
to explode and expand and create another universe,
in time that happens may be
every billions of years,
every time the stars reach each other,
in every universe, in every galaxy,
the stars move so quickly
because we move quickly
to lift our inner selves up
to the journey toward heaven.
Heaven is abstract,
in every way that it is,
heaven is imagined differently
for everyone,
heaven becomes whatever
we think it is and whatever it can be,
if our thoughts are lost,
then we become lost into a black hole,
when our thoughts are not,
we becoming a shooting star
speeding up ready for disconnecting
to eventually connecting to form
an explosion of stars attaching themselves
and creating a universe ready for life,
ready to create a solar system,
ready to create a world,
a new system to spread diversity of living
from the very small to the very large,
diversity can be ugly, gross, or even disgusting,
but diversity can also be the most beautiful, vibrant, and colorful beings
and living organisms,
in a world created by stars,
in a world created by thou,
in a world created by moving closer connecting
to a beautiful assortment of multifaceted moving particles
coming together to form something amazing.
The theory says,
it is a cycle.
A cycle that has a beginning, middle, and an end.
It does not have to be sad at the end,
because there will be a new beginning
almost immediately after,
it may take time,
but time is the only thing we have
in the space that creates a universe,
in the space that helps thou in the stars
create something new,
not every universe is the same,
like not every world will be made with the same style,
the intensity of creating a universe is immense and strong,
the power of the stars coming together to connect altogether,
only creates something even more beautiful.
We cannot be afraid,
we cannot let our fears get the better of us,
we cannot hate that everything can end,
because in the end,
the cycle of life
helps the stars grow,
helps us grow,
and helps a universe be born over and over and over again.
And, the only reason why it is born again and again
is because of thou and cause of our thoughts
existing in time and having faith
that we are all in this together.

A Poem Called “The Difficult Life”

The Difficult Life,

by theamazinJ

A difficult life,
too many our fighting the results of:
too many people being impoverished,
too many not having a home of their own,
lacking funds everyday to have what is needed,
having very little or nothing to eat,
not having any water to drink,
not having enough sunlight,
being isolated, ostracized, and segregated from the world,
being enslaved or being paid sub-minimum wages,
being bullied to the eventual death,
fighting the addictions everyone gets
when trying to fight the difficult life
from the past or present,
not being accepted by the status quo,
fighting everyday for many lives
living the difficult life.
Living a difficult life can be also:
be exhausting,
fighting for what we believe in everyday
for the sake of a better ethical world,
fighting for civil rights for everyone,
fighting for every voice to be heard,
fighting for free appropriate public education for children no matter what
so that these children can grow up to be adults learning
and taking responsibility in college or whatever they choose later on
regardless of the impairments they may have,
fighting for everyone to obtain a high school diploma,
fighting for access to the same information, buildings, and opportunities,
fighting for reasonable accountable pay for jobs well done,
fighting for benefits to support our needs,
fighting for whatever relationships we desire,
fighting to protect privacy and trust,
fighting to not be afraid,
fighting for the right to choose with the support we can get
to make that decision on our own,
fighting not to be considered a martyr or an inspiration,
fighting to be a hero in our own hearts and self-esteem
without medals, without monuments, and without being an idol,
and just serving thou,
fighting for reasonable accommodations with whatever impairments we have,
fighting for equal protection under the law,
fighting for different cultures to exist simultaneously,
fighting for the protection of thou above the stars,
fighting our thoughts to be positive under the laws of attraction,
Life is difficult in the difficult life for everyone,
sometimes we need to organize together
as we listen to each other
for justice and equality for all,
because in the end,
we are all in this together
so that we don’t repeat history,
so we don’t look back,
and so we just move forward
to the plenty of justices served
and judgements being passed
of who done wrong and who done right,
preserving humanity,
preserving a world of peaceful communications,
and starting a trend of acceptance, trust, and love
rising up for a better life
than the difficult life of something we are fearing
we are about to enter into in 2017.
